Review by Dan Townley
I had the absolute pleasure of attending the Only Fools and Horses UK tour at the Regent Theatre in Stoke, and what an unforgettable experience it was! From start to finish, this stage adaptation of the iconic British sitcom captured the heart, humour, and charm of the beloved Trotter family in a way that felt both nostalgic and fresh.
The cast was nothing short of fantastic. Each actor embodied their character perfectly — especially the legendary Del Boy played by Sam Lupton, whose comedic timing and wit had the entire audience in stitches. It felt like watching the characters come to life right before our eyes, and the chemistry between the actors was fantastic. Whether it was the hilarious escapades or the more heartwarming moments.
Special mention to Stoke-on-Trent's own Phillip Childs who plays a fantastic Grandad and Tom Major's representation of Rodney is so close to Nicholas Lyndhurst's original, it's scary!

The set design was another highlight — it brilliantly recreated the familiar Peckham settings, bringing the world of Only Fools and Horses to the stage with impressive detail. The costumes were spot-on, adding to the authenticity of the experience.
The direction of the show was superb. It kept the essence of the original show intact, while also offering something new for fans who’ve grown up with the series. The script was sharp, witty, and full of those classic one-liners that made the show a national treasure.
Overall, I can't recommend the Only Fools and Horses UK tour enough! Whether you’re a lifelong fan of the show or new to the Trotters' antics, this production is an absolute must-see. It's a hilarious, heartwarming, and downright brilliant tribute to one of the greatest sitcoms in British television history. The Regent Theatre is the perfect venue for such a feel-good night out — and this show absolutely delivers!
It has all of the classic moments you'd love from the TV show and more - you'd be an absolute plonker to miss it!
