6 Towns Radio to move to new premises and will welcome new station sponsor

6 Towns Radio can today announce that it is now broadcasting from new facilities inside The Production House in Tunstall and Reels in Motion will become headline sponsor of the station for the next 6 months.

For 13 years we have called Burslem our home, it has seen the growth of the station from our humble beginnings above a fast food restaurant to many happy years on Queen Street but for now, it is time to say goodbye to the Mothertown and hello to a fantastic studio space in Tunstall.

Many will know the building as ‘Ryan Hall’, but in 2017 the building had a £250,000 makeover and became The Production House - a creative hub in the North of Stoke-on-Trent and is the brainchild of the team behind the award-winning production company, Reels in Motion.

Inside the new facilities, our volunteers will have access to our broadcast studio, the production house’s voice-over booth and photography studio whilst guests will be made to feel welcome in the relaxing waiting area

The announcement of new facilities comes the same week 6 Towns launched on DAB and is seen as a huge step forward for the station.

As part of the studio move, Reels in Motion will become the main station partner of 6 Towns Radio with idents and social media posts including the Reels in Motion name as well as other partnership opportunities moving forward.

6 Towns Radio Director, Glyn Talbot said: “Firstly, we’d like to say thank you to the people of Burslem for looking after us for so long, we’ve got to give a special shoutout to June Cartwright who worked tirelessly for years to help promote everything in the town, including 6 Towns Radio.

“In regards to our move, we can’t wait to get going in the new building, when we went to view it we knew instantly it was where we needed to be to progress, when you walk through the doors you can feel that it’s a creative space and it will be excellent for our presenters to broadcast from for years to come.

“We’re looking forward to seeing where the relationship with Reels in Motion will take us and we can’t wait to get going in The Production House!”

Reels in Motion co-founder and director Matt Hubbard said: “We are so pleased to welcome 6 Towns Radio into The Production house and become the main sponsor of the station over the next 6 months. 

“This is exactly the type of organisation we had in mind when we created the Production House. When we set about the vision for The Production House and the space, we wanted it was also to be a Film, Radio and Media Hub. 

“6 Towns Radio are perfect tenants to join Reels in Motion, Stoke Studios, The Song Loft and The Sound Booth - Hopefully we can squeeze in a few other tenants to what is a really excellent place to work!”
